How Our Puppies Are Raised

How litters are planned

We plan about three litters a year around our own family calendar. Pairings are chosen for size, temperament and health testing on both parents — never to keep puppies constantly in stock.

How puppies are raised

Puppies are born and raised inside our home, not in a kennel. They grow up underfoot with our family, handled daily from their first week.

Socialization

By the time they leave they have met new people, heard the vacuum, the doorbell and the dishwasher, walked on different surfaces and started crate and potty introduction.

Veterinary care

Each puppy is examined by our veterinarian, receives their first age-appropriate vaccination, is dewormed on schedule and is microchipped before go-home day.

Health records

You receive written records of every exam, vaccination and deworming, plus the microchip details to register in your name.

What comes home with your puppy

Health records, the food they are already eating, a blanket that smells like their litter, and our phone number for the questions that come up in week one.

Questions Families Ask Us

Where are you located?

We are in Arlington, Washington, in Snohomish County, about an hour north of Seattle and a short drive from Marysville, Everett, Lake Stevens and Stanwood.

Do you ship puppies?

No. Every puppy goes home in person from our home in Arlington, Washington, so we can meet your family and answer questions face to face.

What areas do you serve?

Mostly families across Washington — Snohomish County, the greater Seattle area, Skagit and Whatcom counties — though families travel to us from around the state.

How much are your puppies?

Our puppies are currently $3,200 to $3,500 depending on the pairing. The price is listed on every puppy profile, and it includes their veterinary exam, age-appropriate vaccination, deworming, microchip and health records.

How do I reserve a puppy?

Send us a message about the puppy you are interested in. We talk first — by phone or in person — and if it is a good fit, a deposit reserves your puppy. The balance is due on go-home day.

How often do you have puppies?

Only about three litters a year. We are a small family program, so there are stretches with no puppies available. Message us and we will let you know when the next litter is planned.

When can puppies go home?

Puppies go home at eight to nine weeks old, after their veterinary exam and first vaccination.

How big will my puppy get?

Our puppies have generally matured between 14 and 28 lb depending on the pairing. We share both parents' weights so you can estimate, but adult size is an estimate and never a guarantee.

What comes with my puppy?

A veterinary exam record, first age-appropriate vaccination, deworming on schedule, a microchip, the food they are already eating and a blanket from the litter.

Can I meet the puppies?

Yes. Once a litter is old enough for visitors, we invite reserved and interested families to our home in Snohomish County to meet them.

What veterinary care do puppies receive?

Each puppy is examined by our veterinarian, receives their first age-appropriate vaccination, is dewormed on schedule and is microchipped before go-home day. You receive the written records.

Do you guarantee adult size?

No. We share the parents' weights and the ranges our past puppies have reached, but no honest breeder can guarantee an exact adult weight.

Do you guarantee that puppies won't shed?

No. Doodle coats vary from puppy to puppy, even within one litter. We cannot promise a non-shedding coat or that a puppy will suit someone with allergies.
